Abstract
Demographic change and its affiliated social and economic consequences have been a reality for years, not only in Germany. Provision of adequate medical services for an increasing number of elderly patients confronts public health service with a significant challenge. In order to consequently guarantee a sufficient health service in the future, telemedical solutions are increasingly researched and developed. They enable a mobile and context-dependant assistance in the homely environment. However, interaction with technical systems is often perceived as unsatisfactory, due to deficient consideration of specific user requirements for human-computer interfaces, especially from elderly users.
