Directions to the IMIS
Our main location can be found on the campus of the University of Luebeck in building 64, 1st floor; Room 5 for Administration/Secretariat.
Our additional office (including the Professorship for E-Government and Open Data Ecosystems) is located in the building MFC VIII, Maria-Goeppert-Straße 9a, on the 2nd floor; Room 18 for Administration/Secretariat (across from the hallway/elevator).
With public transport
Taking the city bus from the central bus station (ZOB) across from the central train station
- Line 1 in the direction of Hochschulstadtteil, Line 9 in the direction of Grillenweg / Stephensonstraße or Line 17 in the direction of Universitätsklinikum:
Exit at the station „Technische Hochschule“. Cross the street "Mönkhofer Weg" and enter the street "Universitätsstraße".
Follow the signs towards the emergency department of the clinic ("Marie-Curie-Straße") and walk past the "CBBM" building.
Building 64 is located on the right side of the "CBBM" building (across from the emergency department of the clinic).
- Line 32 in the direction of Stephensonstraße (fast bus):
Exit at the station "Stephensonstraße". Cross the street "Mönkhofer Weg". Pass the administration office of the university of applied sciences Luebeck on the left side and enter the street "Universitätsstraße".
Follow the signs towards the emergency department of the clinic ("Marie-Curie-Straße") and walk past the "CBBM" building.
Building 64 is located on the right side of the "CBBM" building (across from the emergency department of the clinic).
- Line 6 in the direction of Blankensee or Line 4 in the direction of Groß Grönau:
Exit at the station „Universität“ and enter the premises of the university clinic.
Follow the street "Universitätsstraße" and cross the street "Heinrich-Meiborn-Straße". Walk past the parking area.
At the end of the parking area, follow the signs towards the emergency department of the clinic ("Marie-Curie-Straße") and walk past the "CBBM" building.
Building 64 is located on the right side of the "CBBM" building (across from the emergency department of the clinic).
- Directions to building MFC VIII: Line 1 in the direction of Hochschulstadtteil or Line 32 in the direction of Stephensonstraße (fast bus):
The station „Maria-Goeppert-Straße“ is located directly infront of the building MFC VIII.
Taking the train from Luebeck central station
- RE4 in the direction of Bad Kleinen / Szczecin
Exit at the station "Lübeck, St. Jürgen".
Walk towards the street "Hauptstraße" and turn left into the street "Mönkhofer Weg". Follow the street for approximately 5 minutes until you reach the entrance of the campus ("Universitätsstraße").
Follow the signs towards the emergency department of the clinic ("Marie-Curie-Straße") and walk past the "CBBM" building.
Building 64 is located on the right side of the "CBBM" building (across from the emergency department of the clinic). -
Directions to building MFC VIII: RE83/RB84 in the direction of Lüneburg
Exit at the station „Lübeck, Hochschulstadtteil“. From here, walk towards the street "Berliner Allee“/B207 and cross it at the traffic light. At this point, you are already on „Maria-Goeppert-Straße“. Please follow this street straight ahead (crossing the street „Alexander-Fleming-Straße“), until you reach the building MFC VIII on your right side.
By car
You can park in the parking garage of the university clinic on "Ratzeburger Allee". Parking there requires a fee! As an alternative, you might find free parking spots in the public streets within the premises of the university of applied sciences ("TH Luebeck"), in or around the street "Mönkhofer Weg" and within the city district "Hochschulstadtteil" (for instance in the street "Paul-Ehrlich-Straße").
- You reach Lübeck via the Autobahn A1 or A20.
When arriving via A1, change onto A20 in the direction of Rostock at the interchange "Lübeck".
Take the exit 2a "Lübeck–Genin".
Follow this street "Baltische Allee" / "Geniner Straße" until you reach a roundabout. From here, you have several options:
- For parking in the parking garage: Exit the roundabout at the second exit in the direction of St. Jürgen-Ring. After approximately 1km, take the exit in the direction of Uni-Kliniken and turn left onto "Ratzeburger Allee". Follow the street for approximately 2km until you reach the parking garage on the left side.
- For parking at TH Luebeck: Exit the roundabout at the second exit in the direction of St. Jürgen-Ring. After approximately 1km turn right onto "Mönkhofer Weg". Follow this street for approximately 2km.
- For parking in the district "Hochschulstadtteil": Exit the roundabout at the first exit, follow the street "B207" and after approximately 2km turn onto "Paul-Ehrlich-Straße" (behind a large shopping centre).
- Vom Parkhaus zum IMIS: Gehen Sie am Zentralklinikum vorbei. Am Ende des Zentralklinikums ist die Marie-Curie-Straße. Wenn Sie diese überqueren, erreichen Sie das Gebäude 64, in dem sich das IMIS befindet.
- Directions from the parking garage to the IMIS: Follow the street "Universitätsstraße" and cross the street "Heinrich-Meiborn-Straße". Walk past the parking area. At the end of the parking area, follow the signs towards the emergency department of the clinic ("Marie-Curie-Straße") and walk past the "CBBM" building. Building 64 is located on the right side of the "CBBM" building (across from the emergency department of the clinic).
- Directions from the district "Hochschulstadtteil" to the IMIS: Follow the footpath "Mönkhofer Weg" until you reach the Audimax. Infront of the Audimax, turn right onto another footpath and follow it past building 61-63 (contain e.g., lecture halls V1 and V2). On your right side, you will then find building 64.
- Directions to building MFC VIII: After leaving the Autobahn A20 (see previous descriptions), take the first exit of the roundabout in the direction of „Berliner Straße“. Keep straight ahead and follow the street "B207" / “Berliner Allee“ until you reach a large shopping centre after a few kilometers. Here, turn onto „Maria-Goeppert-Straße“. Follow this street straigh ahead (passing „Alexander-Fleming-Straße“), until you reach building MFC VIII on your right side. Parking spaces free of charge can be found on the public streets in close proximity.
On the campus
The building 64 is located on "Marie-Curie-Straße" directly next to the "CBBM" (Center for Brain, Behavior and Metabolism). Administration/Secretariat (Room 5) and large parts of our offices and labs can be found on the first floor in building 64. On the Campusmap 
the building 64 is depicted in the lower middle area and colored in olive-green. Please abide by any COVID-19-information within the building.
